March Wrap Up || Monthly Wrap Up

Hey y’all. So I know that March was really scary for a lot of us and it felt like a whole year in itself but I’m hoping April will be better for all of us.

This month I have really been into…..

Great British Baking Show/ Great British Baking Show: The Beginnings: Same as last month, I often watch this when I am stressed. I find it is good to both watch and nap to.

Buzzfeed Unsolved: True Crime is back and I’m loving every minute.

Triple D: My wife loves this show, I tolerate it for her.

Video Games!

I started playing Sims 4 again and bought Island Life and University to keep me busy when I am not reading or at work.

At the very start of March, on March 4th I traveled into Baltimore and after 8 years of longing, finally saw Wicked the Musical. It was absolutely magical and honestly feels like a dream or something that happened years ago and not just 4 weeks ago. Thank you to the Wicked Touring Cast for bringing this story to life and basically to my doorstep. I was going to try to see them again in June in VA but I doubt that will happen now and it makes me want to scream.

So this part is going to be mostly about Corona or Corona affected things. If you are stressed or anything, don’t feel obligated to read this.

The biggest change is our lives in March was out restaurant going from Dine-In to basically a Drive-Thru in our parking lot. We are all working very hard to keep things as normal as possible but it is obviously a huge change. This also included cut hours for both of us so we have filed for unemployment during this time. We are staying home as much as we can and following the rules/laws our governor has put in place for Maryland.

I am a little stressed because my best friend has cystic fibrosis and I am so scared of losing her to this. Please stay in as much as you can guys. I know a lot of us still have to work (my wife and I included) but please. Do your best.

Luckily for us nobody in our families or any of our friends are showing signs of being sick and I can only hope it remains that way for us and that everyone who is currently sick or has a family member sick is doing as best they can. I love all of you and my DM’s are always open.

I’ve joined a few new group chats and I am planning on starting a youtube channel for booktube and vlogging with the same username as here.

I hope you all had the best March you could and are staying safe. See ya later!

February wrap up || 2020

Once again I wasn’t able to finish my TBR and feel super disappointed in my reading and my blogging this month.

This month I have really been into…..

TV/ Movies

Triple D (Diners, Drive ins and Dives): We watch this while eating dinner after work

NCIS: I started a rewatch over the summer and I am finally past where Ziva leaves which has been my hang up spot for YEARS.

Frozen 2: I preordered a copy from the Disney Store and we went to pick it up. We watched it once more before I offered for one of our friends who hasn’t seen it to borrow it.

Great British Baking Show: We often watch this on days off or right before bed.

Love is Blind: Ending up watching all this in two days, I think it has flaws but is interesting.

Frozen the musical: Late to this one but they released a new song I Can’t Lose You and I can’t stop playing it.

February flew by for us so there isn’t really anything really new here. We’re just both working a lot leading up to seeing Wicked next month. Next month we will have been together for 4 years which is super exciting.

How was your february? Did you and your SO do anything special for Valentines day? Let me know!

January Wrap-up

The first month of 2020 felt so long and yet so short.

About halfway through the month, I fell into a reading slump which I am still not out of. But here’s what I did manage to read…

I was terrible at keeping up others from everyone this month which is SO disappointing to me because one of my goals was to do better with this.

During my reading slump, I did a lot of TV watching, especially on Netflix. I watched season 6 of Grace and Frankie which I adore and then I rejoined a group chat to celebrate part 3 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina coming out! Let me know if you are interested in joining the chat, it is a lot of fun and like a little family.

This month felt SO long and I can’t believe it hasn’t even been a month since I flew out to Vegas to celebrate my Best Friend getting married. The wedding was beautiful and I am so glad that Amanda asked me to be a part of it. I’m not going to lie and say that I had the best time because I struggled a lot but overall it was a good trip and I am glad I went.

The only other big thing to happen this month is that Alison bought us Wicked tickets for when it comes to Baltimore in March. I am beyond excited about it because I have loved Wicked for YEARS and it is my dream show so finally getting to see it is marking something off of my bucket list.

This month seemed super boring and I didn’t get much done so hopefully next month will be better. How was your first month of 2020?

October wrap up

This month was a mess and I feel like both this post and my blog in general really show that. I am so sorry you guys. I really hope November is better.

This month I read 12 books and DNF’d one!

There isn’t a whole lot to say here. I didn’t do very many blog or reading related things this month. No readathons or special orders. While I did keep up with my posting schedules, I constantly felt behind on blogging and reading all month. I spent most of the month trying to prep my blog for my trip so that nothing changes for y’all.

However one big thing that happened this month is that we reached over 200 followers on the blog! Thank you all so much for following me and being interested in what I have to share. I am so lucky.

I had stopped posting on instagram because I couldn’t keep up. On October 21st, I took my instagram down entirely. I was too worried about posting and interacting and having great pictures and it just became too much for me to balance right now.

Personal wise this month was a pretty bad month honestly. My stress is so high as we get closer and closer to my wedding. We have finally started packing so I am feeling a little better about that. I can’t wait to leave and finally be married to my love in just eight days!!!

Tv Shows and Movies

  • We are still watching Golden Girls
  • We have restarted Cutthroat Kitchen on Hulu
  • I am very slowly still watching NCIS
