The Netgalley Book Tag || All About ARCS

Thank you to Kitty for tagging me. I’m so sorry I lost this and it took forever for me to get around to this!!

Disclaimer: This post is in no way affiliated with or sponsored by NetGalley.

The rules:

  • Link back to the tag’s creator (Kourtni Reads)
  • Thank and link back to the person who tagged you
  • Answer the questions the best you can. If you don’t use NetGalley, you can substitute other sites or places where you get books!
  • Tag a few people to do this too

Auto-Approved: Who’s one author whose books you automatically want to read, regardless of what they’re about?

Request: What makes you want to request a book that you see on NetGalley?

Typically I don’t look at a book unless the cover draws me in but I also give the summary a quick read and glance at the rating on Goodreads. I have started looking at other reviews but not very often.

Feedback Ratio: Do you review every book you read? If not, how do you decide what books to review?

On Goodreads? Typically yes. My rating is currently 60% but that’s because I do wait until a little closer to the publish date to read some of the books. I am also behind on putting in one or two reviews for books I’ve read. I have DNF’d one or two books from Netgalley though.

Other than on Goodreads, no I do not review every book. I will rate them all but reviews take a lot of time and thought energy that I just don’t always have. It really depends on how I feel mentally.

Badges: If you could create your own badge to display on your blog, what would it be for?

I really liked Kitty’s answer of genre badges! I also think badges for rating 10/20/50 books 4 stars or more would be cool if that makes sense?

Wish for It: What’s one book that you are absolutely dying to read?

On Netgalley specifically, Jane Anonymous which comes out January 7th. I plan to read this on my flight to Vegas in January but it is taking a lot of self control not to read it now.

2016 NetGalley Challenge: What was the last book that you received as an ARC that you reviewed? If you’ve never received an ARC, what’s the last book you reviewed?

The last ARC I reviewed was Dare to Be You by Marianne Schnall. I have a review up on my blog if you want that check that out.

So I am actually taking a break from tagging people for this week. I just feel like I tag the same 5 people! I need more people to tag!
