The Liebster Award

I am so glad to be tagged for this award again!! Thank you so much Leelynn!! Y’all know I adore Leelynn and all 200 of you need to be following her. That’s right, 200. On the day I’m typing this up my follower count has just reached 201! I can’t believe so many of you are following me and want to hear what I have to say. I can’t wait to continue to grow with you. Anyway, let’s get into the tag.

  • Acknowledge the blog that gave it to you and display the award
  • Answer 11 questions that the blogger gives you
  • Give 11 random facts about yourself
  • Nominate 11 blogs and notify them of their nomination
  • Give these blogs 11 questions to answer

What is your least favorite genre and why?

Probably science fiction or horror. With science fiction, there is typically a world new world which I can sometimes struggle to understand or feel like it is not fleshed out enough. With horror, I can be prone to nightmares so I tend to stay away from anything that will definitely trigger them.

If you could switch places with any character (book, TV show, or movie) for a day, who would you switch with and what would you do?

Which character has an outfit that you’d love to wear?

Honestly my first thought was Belle from Once Upon A Time but that’s not really a book so…. I guess one outfit I’ve always loved is Hermione’s dress. Also I really like her style in general in the last two movies.

What song would you pick as your theme song?

Ooof. I would definitely need more than one. I would need a sad one and a happy one. My happy one would probably be either Sunshine and Whiskey (which I turn on at work any time I can) or Here Come The Sun (one of my favorite songs). Sad wise, it would probably be She Used to Be Mine ( hello song I’ve sung crying on my way to work more than once.)

Should books come with a soundtrack or a playlist while reading it? Why or why not?

Can I listen to it before or after I read the book? I don’t mind them but sometimes when I really need to focus, I need the least amount of noise possible or I get distracted.

Do you like to create playlists for the books you read?

So I’ve never done this for a book but I love doing this for couples on tv shows so I am definitely not opposed to it.

How do you feel about dream casts?

I really love seeing dream casts but something that irks me is when a character is described with brown, curly hair (or something like that) and people pick someone with straight, blonde hair. I known actors can and will change their appearances for roles but it just irks me.

If you could adapt any book into a TV show or movie, which one would it be, what format, and who would be the main cast?

I would make Red, White and Royal Blue into a movie. As for casting…. I have no idea. Truly.

Do you read the book or watch the TV show/movie first?

Honestly? I wish I could say I read the book but it really depends.

If you could pick someone to write and perform a song inspired by you, who would you pick?

All right, don’t hate me y’all but like I don’t pay any attention to singers. If I had to pick, maybe Ariana Grande but I’m so unsure of that answer.

What is your favorite music video to watch as of right now?

I don’t watch music videos. I never have because they never seem to make sense with the lyrics and that really makes me frustrated.

I normally do tag people but I think this time I am going to leave it open. I tag… YOU! If you want to do it. You can use the questions I did because I would love to see your answers.

  1. Yaas, I LOVE She Used To Be Mine. I’m thinking about Sara Bareilles’ version. That song never fails to make me cry whenever it’s late at night and I’m feeling upset or need to let out emotions. Haha it’s so cathartic and Sara’s voice is amazing 😍 I also totally find it annoying when they pick actors who have different looks to the character in book. It’s the same for me and book covers — when the character in front doesn’t look like anyone in the book! D’oh–it really annoys me 😂 Great post, Dana!
